CBS Case Competition 2010

On 1 March 2010, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim of Denmark and Princess Marie attended a Welcome Dinner for students from twelve universities from all over the world who paid a visit to Copenhagen in order to participate in the 2010 Copenhagen Business School (CBS) Case Competition. The said Welcome Dinner was held at the Carlsberg Museum. Her Excellency Mrs. Cholchineepan Chiranond, Ambassdor of Thailand to the Kingdom of Denmark was invited to join the aforementioned function. In addition, she also was a guest speaker for the event on the topic of “Thailand’s Competitiveness”.

The CBS Case Competition is held annually. This year, four Thai students from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, namely, Miss Pichaya Likhitsuwan, Miss Orapun Pratheeptham, Miss Pichaon Yenprateep and Mr. Ittikorn Saengpanyarak, under the tutelage of Professor Kriangkrai Boonlert-Uthai, were invited to join the said competition. There were students from eleven other leading universities participating in this event, i.e., Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), Foster School of Business at the University of Washington (USA), Georgetown University (USA), Institute of Business Administration Karachi (Pakistan), Masstricht University School of Busines and Economics (The Netherlands), National University of Singapore Business School (Singapore), Richard Ivey School (Canada), Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (Latvia), Tsinghua University (China), University of Melbourne (Australia) and University of Southern California Marshall School of Business (USA).

The finalists for 2010 CBS Case Competition consisted of student from China, Pakistan and the Netherlands. On 5 March 2010, the judges announced this year’s winner, which went to the team from Masstricht University School of Business and Economics (The Netherlands).
