H.E. Mr. Piyawat Niyomrerks, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Rear Admiral Mr. Finn Hansen, Admiral of the Royal Danish Fleet in Aarhus.

On 24 January 2012, the Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, H.E. Mr. Piyawat Niyomrerks, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Rear Admiral Mr. Finn Hansen, Admiral of the Royal Danish Fleet in Aarhus. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen the relationship between Thai and Danish navy as well as to enhance the cooperation between both countries in resolving the problem of piracy in Somalia.

This year, the Royal Thai navy agreed to send the royal fleets to join the Danish as well as the international naval patrolling for the third consecutive year.

At the end of the meeting, H.E. Mr. Piyawat Niyomrerks inspected the Royal Danish fleet’s headquarters and its rescue control base.
