Instruction for Visa Application

 

Please note that Danish passport holders with at least 6 months validity remaining on passport and a confirmed ticket out of Thailand (proof of leaving within 30 days) do not need a visa for visiting Thailand up to 30 days for tourism purposes. You are required to obtain a visa if going to Thailand for business, conference, research. etc., or if you are planning to stay for more than 30 days for tourism.

Those holding travel documents for aliens (i.e. an alien passport or certificate of identity) have to apply for visa at the Royal Thai Embassy.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. The Embassy will not process a visa application if the application form is not completely filled out.

2. Any visa application which does not contain the proper documentation will be rejected. The applicant may then apply when the proper documentation is attached.

3. No copy service. The applicant must bring his/her own copies of documentation (passport, flight or reservation ticket, etc.). Please note that the embassy does not provide copy service. If the applicant does not bring the copies needed, the case will be rejected.

4. Do not apply for a visa earlier than 3 months before your expected date of arrival to Thailand for a single entry visa.

5. The Embassy reserves the right to request more documents or ask for an interview if necessary.

6. After collecting the passport with issued visa, applicant should check the visa sticker carefully to make sure it accords with your purposes of visit to Thailand. If there are any doubts, you must raise it immediately with the staff. Otherwise the applicants will take all the consequences by themselves

7. Upon arrival in Thailand, please check the last date which you are allowed to stay in Thailand stamped in your passport by the Thai immigration officer upon arrival. If you stay beyond the specified date, you may receive a fine for overstaying in Thailand. The Royal Thai Embassy is not responsible for any fine incurred as a result of your violation of Thai immigration law.


THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH ALL VISA APPLICATIONS

a) Application form – fully completed and signed

b) Passport which should be valid for at least six months and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page. .

c) Copy of Passport or Travel Document (Picture page)

d) One recent passport type photograph to be attached to application form.

e) Copy of your flight or reservation ticket.

f) Appropriate visa processing fee.

N.B. The Embassy does not provide copy service.

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR VISA

  • Complete and sign ONE application.
  • Submit all requirements with the completed and signed form,
  • For other purposes than tourism, please submit evidence substantiating your purpose of stay. For example, in case of business, a letter form employer and/or business counterpart in Thailand, in case of visiting spouse/children/parents, a marriage/birth certificate, in case of a pensioner, pension card and/or proof of pension fund, etc.

Visa applications can be submitted either by hand or by post.

Submission time : Monday to Friday  09:00 - 11:45 a.m.
Collection time :   Monday to Friday   01.00 - 04:00 p.m.

 

PAYMENT OF FEE

  • If application is submitted in person, visa processing fees are payable in cash or money order, payable to "The Royal Thai Embassy, Copenhagen”.
  • If application is submitted by mail, please pay by MONEY ORDER only.
    - When apply by mail , a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage (Registered Mail ONLY) must be included for the return of passport. Please contact Post Danmark for further information on postage stamps.
  • Please note that visa processing fees are non-refundable and are subject to change without prior notice.


 

REMARKS:

1.) Each applicant, including minor, is required to have his/her own passport to apply for a Thai visa at the Embassy or Consulate-General.

2.) - Company employee must prepare company work certificate (Business card is not acceptable)

     - Self-employed applicant must prepare business registration/license.

     - Student must prepare guarantee letter from university or student card.

     - Pensioner must prepare pensioner card or bank statement or pension fund

     - House wife must prepare husband's passport copy.

Regulations are subject to change without notice.
Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary.
Consular officers assume the right to deny or grant any type of visa to the applicant.
Visa application fee is non-refundable and may be changed without prior notice.
