Non-Immigrant Visa
For the purpose of visiting family (Type “ O”)



Non-immigrant visas will not be issued for such purposes as tourism, seeking employment opportunities, looking for a school for teaching or studying purposes, etc.  

The Embassy will consider the application on a case-by-case basis and may ask for additional documents.

  Validity of visa
       -
The validity of a single-entry visa is 3 months (90 days).
       - The validity of a double-entry visa is multiple-entry visa is 1 year.


  Period of stay
       - Travelers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 90 days per entry.
       - Extension of stay may be granted at the discretion of the Immigration Bureau: Soi Suanplu, South Sathorn Rd. , Bangkok , 10120, Tel. 02 287-3114, 02 287-3101-10 (airport office Tel. 02 535-1163, 02 535-1076), Thailand.   Visa Processing Fees
       - DKK 400 for a single-entry
       - DKK 900 for a multiple-entry.


  Payment of Fee

       - If application is submitted in person, visa processing fees are payable in cash or money order, payable to "The Royal Thai Embassy, Copenhagen”.
       - If application is submitted by mail, please pay by MONEY ORDER only.
         - When apply by mail , a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage (Registered Mail ONLY) must be included for the return of passport. Please contact Post Danmark for further information on postage stamps.


NB: 

       - Visa processing fees are non-refundable and are subject to change without prior notice.
       - Each applicant, including minor, is required to have his/her own passport to apply for a Thai visa at the Embassy or Consulate-General.


Documents Required:

  • Your actual Passport or Travel Document.
          - Passport or Travel Document must not expire within 6 months and contain at least ONE completely empty visa page.
  • 1 copy of Passport or Travel Document (Picture page)
  • 1 application form |Download|
         - completed and signed by the applicant. Parents can sign for the minor.
  • 1 photo
         - passport-type photo, size 4 X 5 cm., color, front-view, taken within 6 months
         - Photostat or Photocopy will not be accepted.
  • An original letter on official letterhead certifying the purpose of travel from concerned institutes in Thailand.

    Please note that the Embassy does not provide copying service

Additional Documents:

To visit as a spouse of a Thai national: (Fiancé Fiancée are not included in this Type )
       - A copy of a valid and effective marriage certificate
       - A copy of Thai passport /or Thai I.D. of the spouse
       - A letter from the spouse verifying that the applicant and the spouse are still married and the purpose to visit Thailand.

To visit as an immediate family member of a Thai national :
       - Documents proving such relationship with the visa applicant e.g., Birth Certificate

To visit as a pensioner: (Must be 50 years old or above)
       - A copy of pensioner card or any proofs of being a pensioner.
